Observation notes: 1 1/2 inches wingspan (as shown, wings open), dark brown moth with white patches -- the thing that makes me think it is Haploa confusa is the bifurcation of the second white spot from the head (it splits -- most of the haploa lecontei around here don't do that, just have a roundish spot there)
