Coordinator notes: Once in a while you get a surprise and a common checkered skipper is one of the other species that are not too frequently seen. This is one of them - the Two-banded Checkered Skipper. In the mountains in Larimer County, it is often more common than elsewhere in the state. Definitely a skipper few will ever photograph. Mike
