Observation notes: The butterfly landed with its wings closed up. When it had wings open it looked purple. Very small butterfly.

Coordinator notes: This one has the blotchy spotting in the center of the hindwing disc which is named "form lucia." These kinds of forms are usually produced only where the winters are long and cold, often only a cold locales in Colorado (but especially in much of western Colorado). Mike
