Observation notes: Hoary Comma flew near cabin and twice landed on a wool cushion on the porch. It flew off and was not sighted again over next few days. Location about 100 feet from the Pasayten River about 5 km south of Highway 3, British Columbia. Bright sunny day, temperature about 20C at time of sighting. Daytime maximum temperatures 30C, nighttime minimum temperatures 1 to 4C. Not seen on a plant.
