Coordinator notes: This is a Hoary Comma. It is the most common angle-wing in the mountains. The Questionmark is a larger butterfly that is found mostly at lower altitudes, sometimes in city areas and/or along stream and river courses crossing eastern Colorado. There are years when it is more common and others when you don't see any. You are probably more likely to see a Questionmark here in the early fall where I noted. They stay to trees mostly (often high up) but like to sun where they grow at the edge of fields, meadows or parks. Mike
