Observation notes: It is "gripping" the threshold of my front door and has been there for hours. I first noticed it at 8:30 am and now it is 2:11 pm and it is still there. My house is in Oro Valley, AZ, with a Tucson zip code, 85704. Surrounding vegetation is largely mesquite trees, paloverdes, and succulents, although people have introduced a few non-natives into their yards. We are entering our hot season, with temperatures in the 90's and approaching 100°.
