Observation notes: Very High gusting winds today. Found on very cold shaded step, cold, north side, immobile. Folded up tight, sluggish. Suspected blown there, against house. Middle left leg broken at first joint. Risk for being stepped on. Picked up, sheltered warmed in hands. Opened Wings. Started vibrating thorax very fast, vibrating wings. Moved a little on hand, grasping my fingers. Tried to fly, fell (caught). More warmth, shelter of hands (gently) After 5 more minutes, moving around, flapping. Took off, able to fly. Flew up in air, strongly and high, to disappear into branches of thick stand of firs.
