Wavy-Lined Emerald
Synchlora aerata

Observation date: September 09, 2016
Submitted by: Stefanos
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This moth was on the doorpost. I could find no species of similar green moth listed as ranging in the Inland Pacific Northwest. This was in Airway Heights just west of Spokane, WA. We have quite a variety of bushes, fruit trees, and other plants in the yard. I believe it was attracted by the porch light and remained during the day. Closest plants were an ornamental grass and a butterfly bush. Weather ranging from 40 F at night to 75 F daytime. Clear and sunny.
