Observation notes: As many as four at a time chasing each other and any females that came by, High fast fliers with very erratic turns. very short stops for nectar on butterfly bush, also native Salvia hot lips and there favorite Bougainvillea. The females would hide in shrubs to rest. Have not figured out what there using for host plant here yet. I have read that in Costa Rica they use Senna. lots of Senna in the area several different varieties around people plant for the beautiful yellow flowers and /Cloudless Sulphur and Sleepy Orange. Fairly high numbers this year there seems to be more than last year!
