Observation notes: This is a shot of one of many similar butterflies enjoying a butterfly garden in a botanical garden. Itwas a clear, sunny, spring day in the low Mojave Desert, up to 85 F.

Coordinator notes: Not a Sleepy Orange which also occurs there. The Desert there should be the Colorado Desert. The Mojave Desert ends in Joshua Tree National Park-Ken Davenport
