Observation notes: mid 60's partly cloudy. Landed right under my nose on the ground then nectared at yellow pincushions.

Coordinator notes: Becker's Whites can live in arid areas outside the deserts where bladderpods grow and can stray or establish transient colonies. They became a regular species in the southern San Joaquin Valley for a few years until drought set in. No more, though I did see one near Bakersfield this year.-Ken Davenport
