Green Comma
Polygonia faunus

Observation date: March 03, 2016
Submitted by: Toripony
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Found 9 on animal scat in sunny, warm, gravel road in the Cascade foothills. Air temp was about 55F though it felt 70+ in sunshine with no wind.
Status: Resident

Verified date: March 08, 2016
Coordinator notes: Most of those are Green Commas. One is a California Tortoiseshell. In my opinion, Green Commas are a better prize than a Satyr Comma. And so many at one spot! Good going.-Ken Davenport
