Coordinator notes: Yes, this is a species of Hawk moth also called Sphinx moths. This is a "Tobbaco Hornworm" the larva of the Carolina Sphinx, which feeds on tomatoes, tobbaco, and other plants in the nightshade family. To see what the adult looks like, check out the species page.
