Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: found in a wet sandy area of a creek on Laguna Mountain. Temperature was in the high 90's and dry. Breezy in the afternoon, many species of butterflies were at this moist area including blues, commas, elfins, sisters, many different skippers. Also many birds were coming to the area to drink and eat! There were many wings of butterflies were on the ground. Also saw a pale swallowtail and a pipevine swallowtail on thistle for nectar in a nearby mountain meadow. Would this be an Arizona pipeline??
