Coordinator notes: It is very unlikely that any Spring Azures would still be around by June 10, at least in that condition. So it is much more likely that this is a Cherry Gall Azure; they are almost impossible to tell apart, except by the date (and the larval foodplants). Ross Since 2015 our understanding of azures has changed significantly. Please take a look at this paper, https://zookeys.pensoft.net/articles.php?id=7882 . According to it, Celastrina serotina DOES NOT EXIST. But specimens in the Toronto area could be either C. lucia or C. neglecta, and we are not yet sure how to distinguish them reliably. But BAMONA does not permit me to say just Celastrina sp.
