Weather for day was 44 low/91F SW@15-25/clear and Very nice. Skipper was seen about 2’up trunk of Cottonwood tree, on south side. I only got a couple photos and went to change lens. It was gone when I got back. It was slowly moving upwards the trunk while I observed.

Sunny and Very windy from SSE@15-35. Humidity 15%. Was under an Oak tree that has probably 20 types of grass/flowers/etc residing under its canopy, likely seeking shade and protection from dry heat. I think I spooked a second one out? I did flush 2 E claudia from under it.
