This butterfly and a tiger swallowtail seemed to be competing on both pale yellow thistle blossoms and western wallflower. This was the only time I've ever seen this butterfly.

Along with many other insects feeding on thistle (Cirsium sp, probably C. ochrocentrum) alongside a catch basin that had quite a bit of water in it (rest of the area is very dry). 2 or 3 of the "white-pink" form plus one of the yellow form submitted here.

Phoebis agarithe, yellow form. I could be wrong and it could be a P. sennae (again) , but it appears to have the "underside forewing ... with straight submarginal line". I have a few more pics, but they are at a bad angle
