This was on a pearly everlasting plant along the side of the highway. Weather was mostly cloudy.

This was about 10 to 15 miles north of New Meadows along US 95, after the road had gone up from fairly flat cow pastures into rockier hills. The Little Salmon River was on the east side of the highway at that point. The picture was taken on the west side of the highway.

I've never seen this type of bug out during the day. There were two or three flying around. At first, I thought they were hummingbirds because of how quickly their wings were fluttering keeping them in the air while getting pollen, but then they started landing and I realized they weren't hummingbirds.
