Three new species were added to the database: Mnasilus allubita, Gonodonta nitidimacula, and Gonodonta bidens. Hidalgo County, Texas records of each species were added to the database, submitted by Martin Redi (M. allubita) and Bordelon & McDermott (Gonodonta sp.). (kickbacks-Opler29Dec09)

Two records for Natrona County, Wyoming were added to the database from Dwaine Wagoner: Thicket Hairstreak and Forest Tent Caterpillar Moth. (WY-5Jan10).

The first two Arizona records of Blomfild's Beauty (Smyrna blomfildia) were added to the database: a Cochise County record from Pat Mowbry-Graeme and a Pima County record from an unknown observer. Records from El Paso, Kleberg, DeWitt, and Hidalgo Counties (Texas) were also added to the database. (AZ-10Nov09)

Nineteen Kansas butterfly and moth records were added to the database. Paul Selden contributed a Douglas County record of Ctenucha virginica, and James G. Klingler contributed eighteen Nemaha County records: Anaea andria, Colias eurytheme, Nathalis iole, Vanessa cardui, Erynnis baptiseae, Phyciodes tharos, Polygonia comma, Anaea aidea, Phyciodes tharos, Polygonia comma, Anaea andria, Strymon melinus, Colias eurytheme, Phyciodes tharos, Colias eurytheme, Junonia coenia, Polygonia comma, and Phyciodes tharos. Five Idaho butterfly records were added to the database. For Shoshone County, Gerry Queener submitted records for Lycaena helloides, Speyeria hydaspe, Lycaena heteronea, and Plebejus idas; and Linda Thacker contributed a Valley County record of Speyeria cybele. (Opler-lateOct09)

Eight butterfly records were added to the database: in Utah, Vanessa cardui (Piute County, Paul Opler & Evi Buckner); in Texas, Mimoides phaon (Hidalgo County, Martin Redi), Marpesia petreus (Hidalgo County, Martin Redi), Doxocopa pavon (Hidalgo County, Martin Redi), Syntomeida melanthus (Hidalgo County, Martin Redi), Phyciodes pallescens (Hidalgo County, J.R. McDermott), and Phyciodes phaon (Hidalgo County, J.R. McDermott); and in Oregon, Polites mardon (Jackson County, D. Gudehus).

Eighteen new butterfly photographs were added to the database from photographer Gerry Queener for the following species: Purplish Copper, Painted Lady, Silvery Blue, Hydaspe Fritillary, Blue Copper, Clodius Parnassian, Melissa Blue, Juba Skipper, Orange Sulphur, and Zerene Fritillary.

Fourteen butterfly and moth photographs were added to the database from Bea Laporte and Laura Maskell for the following species: Garden (Great) Tiger Moth (Arctia caja), Arctic Skipper (Carterocephalus palaemon), Intermediate Cucullia (Cucullia intermedia), Maple Spanworm (Ennomos magnaria), Virgin Tiger Moth (Grammia virgo), Compton Tortoiseshell (Nymphalis vaualbum), Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus), and Orange-humped Mapleworm (Symmerista leucitys).
