Identification: Forewing dark reddish with violet-gray basal and st. areas. Lines and spots whitish. Hindwing white to gray with grayish brown shading beyond median line.
Wing Span: 2.8-3.1 cm.
Life History:
Flight: July-August.
Caterpillar Hosts: Unrecorded.

Habitat:
Range: Nova Scotia to Long Island, New York and Pennsylvania. West to Ontario, Michigan,and Ohio.
Conservation: Uncommon.
