Identification: Forewing dark gray and blackish with chocolate edging along sharp, black am. and pm. lines and chocolate killing in reniform spot. Subreniform spot whitish. Hindwing black with fringe white, black at anal angle.
Wing Span: 5.5-6.5 cm.
Life History:
Flight: June-September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Hickories.
