Identification: Forewings pointed. Brown with white spots and checks (rare).
Wing Span: 1 1/8 - 1 15/16 (28 -33 mm).
Life History: Not reported.
Flight: March - October (several flights).
Caterpillar Hosts: Not reported.
Adult Food: Flower nectar for Cordias and probably other plants.
Habitat: Open woods and second growth in tropical lowlands.
Range: South Texas as rare stray south to northwestern Costa Rica.
Conservation: None needed for rare tropical stray.
NCGR: G4 - Apparently secure globally, though it might be quite rare in parts of its range, especially at the periphery.
