Anaplectoides prasina ([Schiffermüller], 1775)

Subfamily: Noctuinae
Identification: Forewing usually mottled olive green and grayish brown, but sometimes pale green, reddish brown, or dark gray. Basal, am., and pm. lines scalloped, double, black with white filling. Median and st. lines grayish brown. Orbicular and reniform spots brownish with gray centers, partially outlined with black.
Wing Span: 4.5-6 cm.
Life History:
Flight: July-September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Blueberries, hazelnut, maples, raspberry, and other plants.
Adult Food:
Habitat:
Range: Newfoundland to North Carolina mountains, west to central Ontario and Iowa. Also occurs in Eurasia.

Comments: Genus changed from Aplectoides to Anaplectoides in 7/2009 as per Hugh McGuinness.
