Identification: Forewing is mottled black, gray and white with black basal and subanal dashes.
Wing Span: 4.3 cm
Life History:
Flight: Adults are nocturnal, recorded from April to September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Oak (Quercus spp.)

Habitat: Dry forests.
Range: Western British Columbia south to southern California.
