Clouded Sulphur
Colias philodice

Observation date: July 31, 2014
Submitted by: Elaine Link
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Unseasonably mild weather which is warm, sunny, and slightly breezy instead of blazing hot. Clouded sulphurs are almost always around the flower beds, photographed here on purple coneflowers in a residential flower bed. They are competing with 10 - 20 bumble bees in this particular flower bed.
