Orange Sulphur
Colias eurytheme

Observation date: July 05, 2014
Submitted by: treichard
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: None.
Status: Resident
Verified by: Will Kerling
Verified date: July 14, 2014
Coordinator notes: Have changed the name to Colias eurytheme (Orange Sulphur). Clouded and Orange Sulphurs are tricky to id to species through photography since the topside is seldom seen or seen well. These two bugs puddling have borders seen through the FW from the underside which are too wide for Colias philodice (Clouded Sulphur) and they are the wrong yellow color (lemon yellow for C. philodice) for Clouded Sulphur and the satellite spot on the ventral HW matches Orange Sulphur better.
