Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: The weather was pleasant 25 Celsius with humidity making it feel like 30. There was little or no breeze when the butterfly floated in front of me and landed on our hedge where it began to seek out the blooms on the hedge which to be perfectly honest, I've never really taken notice of - they are small white blooms shown in the image. It pretty much ignored me as I approached it to within less thana foot to photograph with my iPhone 5c. I was stunned at its beauty and never recall seeing this butterfly in my life - primarily moths or Monarchs only.
