Observation date: June 17, 2014
Submitted by: Elizabeth Reinhardt
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Sited in the early evening. Sipping nectar from annual (pink flower) dianthus plant. Weather was warm and clear, with storms on the way. Wings were fluttering quickly. Moth was moving from flower to flower and was not disturbed by my presence. In the city, but in a highly forested area with a creek nearby. Not far from Lake Michigan. The photograph above was not taken by me, but is a general photograph showing exactly how the moth appeared.
