Observation notes: Temperatures at that time were in the upper 70s with dewpoints around 70. Skies were partly cloudy at the time and a line of thunderstorms were moving in (but weakening rapidly), though they were about 30 miles due west of my location when this moth was observed. I was thinking Muzaria Euchlaena after going over the Peterson guide. After posting to the "Moths of the Eastern United States" group on Facebook, was told by an expert, Hugh McGuinness that it was an effecta.
