Observation notes: Clear, sunny, breezy day under heavy canopy in wooded area near fields and water sources. Only one I've ever seen and it is outside of normal range.

Coordinator notes: While there are limited characteristics that are similar to Calcopsis cecrops, it appears that the much larger majority of characteristics are Calcopsis isobean AND the range is more likely. Looking at page 114 of A Swift Guide to Butterflies of North America confirms this view - key identifying characteristics are clear.
