Observation notes: hot day mid eighties, at mid day. these photo's were later in the day. late afternoon. in meadow grasses surrounded by pines oaks chaparral lots of natives in meadow and non native grasses clover and buckwheat. clear sky

Coordinator notes: This should be subspecies monticola and I appreciate that you mentioned buckwheats were present since that is their host plant. These (monticola proper) can be impossible to distinguish from Acmon Blues when only the ventral surface can be seen.-Ken Davenport
