Observation notes: May 20, 2014. Orlando, FL. Sunny, 83 degrees. This is the pillar of my front porch. I first noticed a large caterpillar with bright markings in white, blue, and green. About 3-4 inches long. I left to run an errand for about an hour and when I returned found the chrysalis. Plants in near vicinity are palm trees, bougainvillea, various flowering potted plants.
