Observation notes: Warm weather. Butterfly was resting on the wall, slowly moving its wings up and down. About 20 minutes later it flew away.

Coordinator notes: There are no confirmed records for a Thoas Swallowtail in California and it would likely require a collected specimen to assert that it is a thoas-Ken Davenport Added note: the yellow banding in thoas would be a lighter yellow and the bands would likely be more squared off and continuous.
