Observation notes: when i found this pupa i thought it was a moth, what a treat when it hatched, have seen these empty pupa before, there is one between screen and window where one hatched dec. 31. 2013 only noticed the pupa recently. I have a few large clumps of blue grasses just below the window from an old lawn. wonder if thats where there coming from? I read some where watch out what weeds you pull, they just might be the food plant for a special visitor to your yard? cool day low sixties hatched last night was cool moisture in the air due to marine layer and few drops of drizzle. last two days cool high in mid 60's cloudy.
