Observation notes: Seen in sandy terrain near a bog populated with bearberry. 10 Hoary Elfins seen along with a Brown Elfin. Multiple individuals seen at one time (up to four) with numerous specimens seen along the path. Relatively tame individuals allowed close-up inspection. Sunny day - more butterflies came out as temperatures rose and wind died down.
