Observation notes: Warm sunny day, in the low 70s. Butterfly was drinking from a patch of ground moistened by the dregs from a coffee cup, and did not want to leave.

Coordinator notes: This is subspecies neumoegeni. I am glad rains there were sufficient for this to fly there. Desert species often have only partial flights or forego emergence in dry years altogether.
