Observation notes: caught at night flying vigorously in circles around kitchen light . placed on flower in am for better lighting and id was good a playing dead but moved away when trying to spread wings. very heavy moisture last couple nights.. lots of snails out and moths were active when i turned on light to collect the snails off all the plants that were getting eaten. lots of small moths in garden. this was about three quarters of an inch from head to end of wings. one day i found a very large very dark moth with eye spots similar to the tan ones, but can't find on list of local moths and have never seen again.
