Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: First shot: moth is in flight, feeding on yellow jasmine flower nectar. Second shot: moth is at rest, clinging to a stucco wall in a vertical position underneath a bright light. Both shots taken at night after a 91-degree day (20 degrees above average). I have never seen this moth before, and now suddenly, tonight there were dozens nectaring on this jasmine vine. The conditions must have been just right.
