Observation notes: The Moth was found by our 6 yr old daughter Cecilia in on the Vinca Flowers. It was a bit overcast day around 60 degrees

Coordinator notes: The western limit of the range of Hyalophora cecropia is Colorado. I think this is the Ceanothus Silkmoth (Hyalophora euryalus). For H. euryalus the area beyond PM line has a broad diffuse band that is maroon-ish. Also, the discal spot on hindwing is shaped like an elongated comma pointing toward the outer margin.
