Observation notes: there were two on a scrub oak chasing each other around, or i would have missed them they are so small. low to mid eighties very dry no streams running just a couple puddles. there is always water in streams by now. we have been running 20 digress above normal clear skies santa winds high fire danger bone dry. surprised to see some blooms here and there, natives are use to dry. shrubs look ok and some bunch grasses very green for how dry it is. very few annuals sage scrub and a few live oaks sycamore and scrub oak.
