Observation notes: very hot day on turpentine broom lots of larva and lots of turpentine broom this day even some adults on slight breeze, stopping for nectar.high nineties mid day this was afternoon still very hot. take lots of water. they say a gallon an hour in summer or hot spells in case u get stranded, which is easy to do in loose granite even with four wheel drive u get stuck farther from main road. these seem to eat all the flowers and the bark near ends of twigs no leaves on these bushes.
