Coordinator notes: Another similar species barely reaches California in the eastern Mojave Desert...the Arizona Sister (Adelpha eulalia). Both achieved species status and were separated from A. bredowii in 2007-2008. Both Arizona Sisters and Red-Spotted Purples can be common 50 miles east of Needles in the Hualapai Mts. near Kingman, AZ.
