Observation notes: Soldier on betony mistflower, seen at Texas Butterfly Festival, Mission, Texas, November 3. Clear, sunny day with temperatures in low '70's Fahrenheit.

Coordinator notes: This looks like the undersides of a D. gilippus, not D. eresimus. D. eresimus has a different underside hindwing pattern--very little white along the black veins, smaller spots along the wing border, and on the male--like this sighting--a scent patch parallel with the veining, not nearly perpendicular to it. Review the photos on BAMONA, and you'll see what I mean.
