Observation notes: on native aster, very hot day high eighties to low nineties, lots of buckwheat in area coastal sage scrub of laguna canyon, saw quite a few on this hill top not sure if they are hill toppers, they were getting what little nectar they could find. small asters blooming also some buckwheat. where ever we found asters we found metal marks.
