Observation notes: cool day just above sixty at time of photo 11:30 am cloudy sky, light sprinkle early am. 10-12 monarchs on Budddleia blooms. great nectar source if it's is note invasive in your area. monarchs were sunning them self's and sipping nectar, also floating on light breeze. I have lots of milkweed, nectar also so i have monarchs all year. pupa in all stages any time of year. Right on the coast line and san diego boarder, with orange co. I have heard it said if you have nectar and milkweed that monarchs wont migrate? but if we dont plant any milk weed we wont have many monarchs left.
