Observation notes: During an all day light rain here in Porum Oklahoma 74455 I found him laying on the ground underneath the paper shell pecan tree in our yard here in the country. It seems to be healthy and acting accordingly.

Coordinator notes: This is a Luna Moth caterpillar that has changed color and is getting ready to form a cocoon and pupate. It sometimes does this in leaf litter on the ground or on a branch of the host tree, very possibly the pecan under which it was found.
