Coordinator notes: Is the eastern tailed and western tailed blue easily differentiated from dorsal view alone where their ranges overlap? Second reviewer comment: The submitter correctly identified this blue. Yes, the colored lunules at the base of the hindwings as clearly shown in the picture provided by the submitter is diagnostic - larger and doubled on comyntas, usually smaller and only singular on amyntula which does not occur out of the foothills and mountains in eastern Colorado beyond the high plains. Logan County would be a county record in the state for this species.
