Eastern Tailed-Blue
Cupido comyntas

Observation date: September 14, 2013
Submitted by: mudgrub12
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: out early as was going to be a hot day, observed many small acmon blues perching on weeds, then spotted this tailed blue right before it fitted away. Think it is an eastern because it was larger and its spots and in particular its wings were broader than a western I believe I spotted in spring....

Coordinator notes: The September date tells me this is an Eastern Tailed Blue. Western Tailed Blues are usually gone by mid-summer in most of their range.
