Observation notes: I have established a large butterfly garden (30 x 60 feet) and filled it with native Michigan plants. 2013 was the garden's second year and it continues to attract butterfly species I have never seen in my locality before. This Tawny Emperor is an example. This day was in the 80's and sunny.
