Observation notes: It was a warm, sunny day, and the butterfly was the only one of its kind in the garden. In fact, this was the first time we'd ever noticed it. While observed, it remained on the coneflowers and ignored the butterfly bush, Veronica, plumbago, zinnias, and daylily.
